Due to the impact of storm No. 6, many areas were buried and landslides caused many people to go missing and get injured. Among them, the Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant is located in Phong Xuan Commune, Phong Dien District (Thua Thien Hue). During the rescue mission, due to the flood from upstream, 13 officers and soldiers in the Operation Team were buried underground and died, including journalist Pham Van Huong. The journalist died while his two children were still in school age, and his family's circumstances were extremely difficult.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu acknowledged and thanked the valuable sentiments of the units. On behalf of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu shared that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will waive tuition fees for Pham Thien Ha until Thien Ha graduates.
