Vietnam-UAE relations were established in 1993, but can be considered a continuation of the ties between the two nations from centuries ago, when Vietnam welcomed and interacted with ancient Arab merchants. The Ambassador's insights shared during the exchange will be very useful for Vietnamese students to learn from and draw lessons for the development of their country.

Next, Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri presented on the development of the United Arab Emirates in relation to the role of the youth.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a young nation, having existed for only 49 years and possessing a very small population. The founding generations of this country faced hardship and difficulty in the barren desert, lacking food and resources for national development. The UAE's founders were always deeply concerned with finding a path to becoming a powerful nation that would bring happiness to its people. They succeeded, transforming the UAE into a global economic hub with modern financial centers, infrastructure, technology, tourism, and world-class constructions within a few decades. The UAE also achieved the dream of space exploration that other superpowers have pursued.

Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri expressed his admiration for Vietnamese culture during his visit to museums in the country; he urged Vietnamese students to cherish the beautiful aspects of Vietnamese culture, such as the strong bonds of family.
Explaining the UAE's miraculous story, Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri shared that oil is only one part of the driving force behind its development. More importantly, the country's leaders have possessed foresight and determination to make the UAE a powerful nation. This is coupled with a focus on investing in education and intellectual development, resulting in remarkable advancements in science and technology, exemplified by the "Museum of the Future" in Dubai. On the other hand, the UAE has also preserved and promoted its cultural identity despite the rapid development of technology. In particular, young people are considered to play a crucial role in the UAE's development plans and strategies. This generation has contributed significantly with their knowledge, intellect, and creativity to the country's overall development.

In Vietnam, the Ambassador noted that young people constitute a high percentage of the population, making them even more important to the country's development. To the students of the university, representatives of Vietnamese youth, the Ambassador conveyed the message that this is a golden opportunity for them to develop themselves. They need to believe in their ability to achieve great things, provided they have self-confidence, know how to seize opportunities, apply their knowledge to practice, and learn from their mistakes. They need to outline a vision for the future to take control of their own destiny, and even further, the destiny of their country and the development of bilateral relations.

Following the presentation, the humanities students asked Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri questions about issues such as the necessary preparations for young people, how to leverage technology to contribute to national development, how to harmonize culture and technology in an era of rapid technological advancement, and how to promote technological development without dependence on others.
