Currently, many students still have a wrong perception about the issue of starting a business. Many people think that only students majoring in economics and technology can start a business. However, in reality, students majoring in social sciences can also be successful in this field.
With the theme “From idea to real model”, the talk show aims to equip students with basic knowledge and skills while inspiring them to start a business.
Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the talk show was held online via the Zoom platform and received a large response from more than 1,000 students who registered to attend.
At the talkshow, speaker Le Thai Duong (founder of Vietnam Startup Insider and former development director of Rehoboth Vietnam) shared with you a panoramic view of the reality of startups.
Speaker Le Thai Duong with extensive experience in the field of startups
Mr. Duong said: "Recently, in startup competitions, many social startup models and businesses have appeared and have been successful."
In the current period, Vietnam and the world are experiencing fluctuations due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring us to have more creative activities in supporting young people to start businesses. Within the framework of the SiL competition, the talkshow not only brings inspiration for starting a business but also brings sustainable values to young people.
Head of the talkshow Organizing Committee, student Nguyen Huong Ly (K65 Public Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) shared: “A very difficult problem when participating in a startup competition is how to build good ideas and find like-minded companions.... But the SiL competition brings a completely new form of competition, SiL will help you from the step of forming ideas and teams... as long as you dare, SiL will accompany you”.
The single round of the Social Innovation Launch 2021 competition is taking place, an opportunity for future startups to find the right pieces where great ideas can come together to create positive projects for society.
