Professor Nicholas Tarling was a lecturer in History at the University of Auckland from 1968-1996 and a member of the New Zealand Asia Institute at the University of Auckland. He has published numerous books and research papers on Southeast Asian history. He is the editor of the famous book seriesCambridge History of Southeast Asia(2 episodes).
In addition, the presentation was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand to Vietnam - Dr. James Kember - and 03 researchers in history and development science from the University of Auckland: Dr. Ken Jackson, Dr. Charles Johnston, Dr. Xin Chen.
