Student exchange program for the winter semester 2022-2023 at Humboldt University (Berlin, Germany)

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) has received information about a student exchange program for the winter semester of the 2022-2023 academic year at Humboldt University (Berlin, Germany).

Note: Students and trainees wishing to participate in the program should contact and submit their personal information to the Cooperation and Development Office, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Room 404, Building E, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) before April 15, 2022. The Office will then compile the information and forward it to the partner university. Registered students and trainees will receive a direct registration link from the partner university via email.

The student exchange program is for undergraduate and postgraduate students and lasts for one semester or one academic year. Humboldt University (Berlin) does not have a minimum GPA requirement for applicants.

The winter semester will run from October 1, 2022 to the end of February 2023. Final exams will take place during the last two weeks of February 2023. Following this, students will have a semester break from the end of February 2023 to March 31, 2023.

Fields of study that candidates can apply for exchange programs in: ALL FIELDS EXCEPT Pharmacy, Global History (postgraduate level), Global Studies (postgraduate level).

Undergraduate students are allowed to register for courses from a maximum of two faculties during their exchange program. In addition, they can register for language courses and the Berlin Perspectives program (details can be found on the website).https://hic.hu-berlin.de/en/berlin-perspectivesGraduate students are only allowed to register for courses from one department. Many departments offer courses in English for students to choose from.

Foreign language requirements:

- Minimum German language proficiency level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(Applicants may submit certificates issued by Goethe-Zertifikat, DSH, or TestDaF; or take a proficiency test and participate in paid German language training courses before joining the exchange program).

For students majoring in Languages, Literature, Humanities, and English/American Studies: Undergraduate students need a minimum English proficiency level of B2, while postgraduate students need a minimum English proficiency level of C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Online registration period for applicants: from April 15, 2022 to May 31, 2022 (Applicants will receive information and instructions on how to submit their applications directly from the partner school via their personal email address).

The application file includes:

1. German language certificate (Goethe-Zertifikat B2 or C1, DSH, TestDaF), or results of the online C-Test German exam, or English language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS).

2. Letter of Motivation.

3. Academic transcript.

4. Study Agreement (optional).
