The program is organized to enhance international understanding of Indonesia's diverse artistic and cultural heritage, build a culture of cooperation through direct contact and cultural exchange among participants, and thereby foster good diplomatic relations in the region and internationally.
Due to space and organizational limitations, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with Indonesian embassies and consulates abroad, implemented a selection process for program participants based on factors such as background, gender, representativeness, and interest in Indonesian culture.
Participants in the program will be divided among different art centers to participate in activities lasting approximately two months. These art centers are located in six provinces of Indonesia, including: Bali; Padang - West Sumatra; Kutai Kartanegara - East Kalimantan; Banyuwangi - East Java; Makassar - South Sulawesi; and Yogyakarta.
Candidates will study Indonesian art and culture, have the opportunity to experience local heritage, and interact with local artists.
Duration: 2 months, from May 15th to July 9th, 2022.
Format and location:The entire course will be conducted online.
The application dossier includes:
1) Letter of Motivation;
2) A digital copy of your passport or citizen identification card (valid for at least two years);
3) Soft copy (digital) of academic certificate/transcript.
4) A soft copy (digital) of the health certificate issued by a licensed medical facility;
5) Letter of recommendation;
6) The personal commitment letter includes the following information:
a. will comply with all regulations of the organizing committee and art centers;
b. Willingness to participate in all programs and activities organized by the organizing committee and art centers, except for health reasons (with confirmation from a medical facility);
c. Be prepared to bear all consequences and accept being disqualified from the program if they do not comply with the rules set by the organizers.
6. Basic knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage; however, English remains the primary requirement.
