The National Council for Educational Quality Accreditation unanimously agreed on the following assessment of the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities:+ The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has a long history and is a nationally recognized institution in the field of social sciences. It has trained many famous authors, produced numerous substantial scientific works, and even received the Ho Chi Minh Prize. This is a significant advantage that other universities find difficult to achieve. + The university has a forum on its website where staff and students can express their concerns, ensuring grassroots democracy. + The university offers comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programs; these programs are published in books for students to access information about their studies. + Annually, the university organizes a Career and Job Fair, providing students with opportunities to connect with employers, understand their requirements, and find employment. Through this, the university gathers information to adjust its training programs to better suit the practical needs of society. + In its training activities, the University proactively developed a plan to transition to the credit-based system, including preparing facilities, changing curricula, and promoting innovation in teaching methods, aiming to create more favorable conditions for learners. + The University has focused on innovating teaching methods. It has a financial policy to support and encourage lecturers to sign contracts for innovative teaching methods. + The University has prioritized scientific research and technological development among lecturers and students. The number of research topics and articles published in recent years has been large; the number of completed research topics per lecturer is quite high (an average of 1 research topic for every 6 lecturers and 1 article for every 2 lecturers). + The University has a strong advantage in international relations, especially with China in collaborative training. All international relations activities comply with state regulations. Through international relations, funding has been received to build departments such as Thai Studies, Chinese Studies, and Japanese Studies. + In the evaluation of the training program, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has completed the Self-Assessment Report for the High-Quality Linguistics Program according to the VNU program evaluation framework, which includes 5 standards and 22 criteria. The external evaluation results are as follows:
- Criteria for achieving level 1: 01 criterion (5%)
- Criteria achieving level 2: 16 criteria (73%)
- Criteria achieving level 3: 05 criteria (23%)
Currently, the University is continuing to evaluate the training programs of the History and Tourism Studies majors. + In the lecture evaluation process, during the 2008-2009 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities surveyed the quality of 97 lectures/97 lecturers and processed 6130 lecture evaluation forms. The overall result for the entire university was 3.95/5. No lecturer scored below average (2.5).
