This was the idea for the gala celebrating International Francophone Day on March 20, 2010, which was held at 7:30 PM on March 18, 2010, in the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E – University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
With the participation of most French-speaking universities in Hanoi such as the Foreign Trade University, the Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi University, the French Department of the Vietnam National University, and the International Studies and Sociology departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and featuring Miss Tran Thi Gam and Miss Talent Vu Thanh Loan, the "Histoire d'amour" gala promises to bring attendees truly special emotions with artistic performances presented by the students themselves.
Le Mai Lien (a psychology student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) – Deputy Head of the organizing committee – said: “The purpose of organizing this gala was to create a space for cultural and artistic exchange among schools that use French. We hope that through this gala, students who study and love French will have the opportunity to become closer to each other and have the chance to express themselves.”
The Histoire d'amour (French Love) Gala is the first event in the "France in My Heart" program organized by students of French-speaking Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The organizers are striving to make activities like this more engaging for young people.
