Following the four conferences held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2012, with the approval of the Prime Minister, the 5th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies (2016) will be held by Vietnam National University, Hanoi in Hanoi from15-18/12/2016at the My Dinh National Convention Center. The conference is an academic forum to discuss and propose solutions to contribute to solving contemporary problems in Vietnam, as well as an opportunity to promote the development of the global Vietnam Studies network, bringing together a team of experts in Vietnam research from many different fields of expertise, towards forming an international network on Vietnam Studies.
The workshop is expected to have 5 sub-committees:Diplomacy, cooperation and international integration; Cultural resources; Education and human resource development; Knowledge and technology transfer; Economy and livelihoods and Climate change. In there,University of Social Sciences and Humanities presides over the content and organization of subcommittee 1.
