3. Thai Language Proficiency Assessment: Levels 3 and 4
4. National Foreign Language Proficiency Assessment (Laos): Level 3
- Deadline for submitting online applications and exam fees: From February 26, 2024 to March 1, 2024
- Number of candidates: Maximum 2000 candidates (priority will be given to students who need to demonstrate compliance with learning outcomes for graduation).
* Note:
- If the number of applicants for the Thai, Lao, Russian, or Arabic language exams is less than 10 candidates per language/level, the school will not organize the exam for that language at that level.
- If the number of registered candidates for the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, and German language exams is less than 25 per level per exam period, the school will not organize the exam for that foreign language level.
- If the number of registered candidates for the English exam is less than 100 per level/per exam period, the school will not organize the exam for that foreign language level.
2. Exam format and type of exam- Format: The Vietnam National University-of-the-Centers (VNU-TESTS) assesses foreign language proficiency based on professional communication, levels 3, 4, and 5 according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam.

- Exam format: Reading, Listening, and Writing skills are tested on paper. Speaking skills are tested in person on the Saturday or Sunday of the exam week.

4. Application documents (submitted online at https://dangky.ulis.vnu.edu.vn/vnu-tests/) The documents include:- A portrait photo (taken no more than 6 months before the registration date);
- Photo files of the front and back of your citizen identification card/national identity card/passport;
- A photograph of the front of your student ID card. In case of a lost or expired card, students must submit a photograph of a Student Confirmation Certificate signed and stamped by their training unit.
*Note: Candidates should save their exam registration code for lookup purposes, to register for re-evaluation, and to apply for a certificate.
• Procedure for withdrawing documents
- Candidates must present original, valid identification documents; a withdrawal request form; and proof of payment of the examination fee.
- Candidates will receive a 50% refund of their exam fee if they register six or more working days before the exam date (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and Tet). No refund will be given within five working days of the exam date.
*Note: Application withdrawals will NOT be considered for candidates whose exam fees are below 800,000 VND.
5. Information about the exam• Candidates can view the exam location, list of exam rooms, registration number, and detailed exam schedule at [link/website].

• When taking the exam, candidates must bring their original, valid identification documents. Candidates are not allowed to bring mobile phones, transmitting or receiving signals, recording devices, or other equipment, including wristwatches, into the examination area.
• Exam results will be announced at https://dangky.ulis.vnu.edu.vn/vnu-tests/ (select the "LOOK UP EXAM SCORES" section) 14 working days after the exam date (excluding Saturdays and Sundays). The results will be sent to the training units with students and candidates applying for/taking the entrance exam for master's programs at VNU who participated in the VNU-TESTS exam. (The university does not confirm the scores.)
• Registration for review: Within 3 days after the exam results are announced, candidates must register for a review and pay the fee online at https://dangky.ulis.vnu.edu.vn/vnu-tests/ (select the REGISTER FOR REVIEW option). The review results will be announced 10 working days after the registration deadline.
6. Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate- Candidates who meet the requirements of the VNU-TESTS Level 3, Level 4, and Level 5 exams will be awarded a certificate of foreign language proficiency at the corresponding level, signed by the Rector of the University of Foreign Languages.
7. Procedures for obtaining a foreign language proficiency certificate.- After 25 working days (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) from the exam date, candidates can collect their certificates on Tuesdays and Thursdays (during business hours) within 2 months from the date the certificate is issued.

- When receiving the certificate, candidates must present their original, valid identification documents (Citizen ID/National ID/Passport).
- In cases where authorization is given to receive the certificate, the authorized person must present their original, valid identification document; the power of attorney (stamped by a competent authority); and notarized copies of valid identification documents of both the authorizing person and the authorized person.
