Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) received a notice from the PHER Project on the nomination of lecturers and young scientists from VIANs to participate in the Visiting Scholar Program in 2024 to enhance the research and teaching capacity of lecturers and young scientists in 07 academic fields of the Vietnam International Academic Network (VIANs) at VNU, including: (1) Business, Economics and Public Policy, (2) Computer Science, (3) Health Sciences, (4) Climate and Environmental Sciences, (5) Education, (6) Advanced Materials and (7) Anthropological and Cultural Studies.
1. Time:maximum 03 months and ending before December 2024.
2. Location:Candidates are encouraged to proactively connect with training facilities, laboratories, research centers at Indiana University or other organizations in the United States related to the field of study.
3. Quantity and subjects:Member universities of VNU include: University of Natural Sciences, University of Education, University of Economics, University of Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The above member universities propose 01 official candidate and 01 reserve candidate (if any) corresponding to the field of VIANs; with a Master's degree or higher; priority is given to candidates who have found or contacted training institutions, research centers or laboratories expected in the United States.
4. Funding:The PHER project fully funds the selected candidates to participate in the program, including round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, health insurance, visa application fees, etc.
Due to the urgent preparation time, the Cooperation and Development Board (HT&PT) respectfully requests that the Principals of the member schools pay attention to instructing the VIANs to select and send a list of recommendations for 01 official candidate and 01 reserve candidate (if any) who meet the selection criteria of VNU and the PHER Project to participate in the Visiting Scholar Program in the United States.
