Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has received notification from the PHER Project regarding the nomination of young lecturers and scientists from VIANs to participate in the Visiting Scholar Program 2024 to enhance research and teaching capacity for young lecturers and scientists in 07 academic fields of the Vietnam International Academic Network (VIANs) at VNU, including: (1) Business, Economics and Public Policy, (2) Computer Science, (3) Health Sciences, (4) Climate and Environmental Sciences, (5) Education, (6) Advanced Materials and (7) Anthropology and Cultural Studies.
1. Time:Maximum duration of 3 months and completion before December 2024.
2. Location:Applicants are encouraged to proactively connect with training facilities, laboratories, and research centers at Indiana University or other organizations in the United States related to their field of study.
3. Quantity and target:The member universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi include: the University of Science, the University of Education, the University of Economics, the University of Technology, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The aforementioned member universities propose one official candidate and one reserve candidate (if any) corresponding to VIANs' field; holding a Master's degree or higher; preference will be given to candidates who have found or contacted prospective training institutions, research centers, or laboratories in the United States.
4. Funding:The PHER project fully funds selected candidates to participate in the program, including round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, health insurance, visa application fees, etc.
Due to the tight preparation time, the Cooperation and Development Board (CCDB) respectfully requests that the Rectors of member universities direct their VIANs to select and submit a list of one official candidate and one reserve candidate (if any) who meet the selection criteria of VNU and the PHER Project to participate in the Visiting Scholar Program in the United States.
