In order to improve the quality of school activities and implement the quality assessment plan registered with Hanoi National University…

Self-assessment according to the 10 accreditation standards of Hanoi National University is an opportunity for the University to recognize the reality of its ongoing activities, thereby continuing to determine orientations and adjust the school's short-term, medium-term and long-term goals and plans accordingly, as well as promote the strengths and specific resources of the school, and take specific measures to minimize and overcome existing weaknesses.

2. Scope of self-assessment

Overall assessment of the school's activities according to the University of Technology Standards of Hanoi National University, issued on December 13, 2005.

3. Grassroots quality inspection council

3.1. Composition of the school-level quality assessment council:

The school-level quality assessment council was established under Decision No. 452/QD-XHNV, dated March 20, 2009 of the Principal. The council consists of 31 members.

5. Information collection plan

  • Collect information through survey forms;
  • Collect information through documents and annual reports of faculties, schools, departments and offices;
  • Collect information through interviews.

5.3 Determine the time to collect information and conduct the survey

  • Time to complete self-assessment report: September 4, 2009
  • Preparation time(Designing plans, designing questionnaires and providing technical training for some staff) April 2009

6. Plan to hire outside experts

7. Timetable

Self-assessment implementation time (about 6 months), according to the following schedule:

Week 1-2 (30/3-3/4)
  • Meet with unit leadership to discuss the purpose, scope, timeline, and identify members of the unit's Quality Assurance Council.
  • The head of the unit decides to establish the unit's Quality Assurance Council and sends a document to VNU.
  • School Board Meeting to:
    • Announcing the decision to establish the grassroots Quality Assurance Council
    • Discuss and assign specific tasks to each Council member.
    • Draft self-assessment plan.
    • Establish a secretariat and specialized working groups to assist Council members in performing their self-assessment responsibilities according to the KDD Standards.
Week 3-4 (6/4-17/4)
  • Disseminate the policy of implementing self-assessment to all officers, lecturers, employees and students of the unit (through faculties, departments, offices, etc.)
  • Organize training on professional skills and self-assessment implementation for key staff of units, departments, divisions, etc.
  • School Board Meeting approved:
    • Unit self-assessment plan
    • Draft outline of self-assessment report (based on training materials and specific conditions of the unit)
    • Submit to the Head of the unit for approval of the self-assessment plan.
  • Unit submits self-assessment plan to VNU
Week 5 – 10 (20/4-29/5)
  • Specialized groups meet and assign specific tasks to each member (based on the KĐĐT Standards and guidance documents for finding evidence)
  • Gather information and evidence
  • Encrypt the information and evidence obtained
  • Describe the information and evidence obtained
  • Analyze and explain the content of the evidence to prove that the unit meets the requirements in the Set of KĐĐT standards.
Week 11-12 (1/6-12/6)
  • Dedicated working groups write reports for each criterion.
  • Collect additional information (if necessary).
Week 13 – 14 (15/6-26/6)
  • Heads of specialized groups synthesize criteria reports into standard reports.
  • Collect additional information (if necessary).
Week 15 - 16 (29/6-10/7) School Board of Management:
  • Review of reports of each standard drafted by the task forces
  • Review the information and evidence used in the self-assessment report
  • Identify issues arising from the information and evidence obtained
  • Identify additional information that needs to be collected
  • The school's Quality Assurance Council Secretary compiles the standard reports into a draft self-assessment report of the unit.
Week 17 – 18 (13/7 -24/7)
  • The School Assessment Council reviews the draft self-assessment report and recommends revisions (if necessary).
  • The Council approved the self-assessment report and submitted it to the Head of the unit.
Week 19 - 20 (27/7-7/8)
  • The head announced the performance appraisal report within the unit.
  • Faculties, departments, offices, lecturers, staff, etc. contribute comments on the self-assessment report.
Week 21 – 22 (10/8-21/8)
  • The School Assessment Council continues to supplement and complete the assessment report according to feedback.
  • The school's Quality Assurance Council approves the final assessment report and submits it to the Head of the unit for approval.
Week 23 (24/8-28/8)
  • The head of the unit approved the self-assessment report.
Week 24 (31/8-4/9)
  • The school submits self-assessment report to the VNU Quality Assurance Council
  • The School Assessment Council keeps the evidence information in the order of the evidence code recorded in the self-assessment report, ready for the external assessment expert team to review.
