Rules
1. Eligible participants:
- Generations of students and alumni of the Faculty
- Faculty and staff involved in work and teaching at the Department
- Other people are interested
* We encourage inviting design professionals to participate and share their ideas.
- The competition can be held individually or in groups.
- Each group can have a maximum of 3 people.
2. Content requirements:
- It effectively reflects the typical spirit and distinctive values of the field of study. The message is clear and impactful.
- The logo and slogan are eligible for intellectual property protection and do not duplicate any existing logos and slogans.
- The logo submitted for the competition must comply with the following basic requirements:
+ Demonstrate the core values and characteristics of the Management Science discipline, with an emphasis on the Management Science of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
+ Meet design requirements such as: aesthetics, memorability, recognizability, and making an impression on the public (expressed through color, lines, composition, meaning, etc.)
3. Requirements regarding format:
- Logos and slogans are inseparable.
- Simple, modern, general, and artistic.
- Easy to use for black and white printing.
- Easily reproduced on various materials.
4. Application requirements:
- The artwork is designed using a computer and displayed on A4 white paper with accurate colors (clearly indicating CMYK color grading). The largest dimension of the drawing should not exceed 15cm. A smaller black and white version should be included in the lower right corner, with the largest dimension not exceeding 3cm.
- A summary of the creative idea, no more than 500 words.
- One contact form clearly stating the author's full name, national identity card number, contact address, phone number, email address, and other introductory information about the author.
- One image file (.png) along with the original design file (.ai, .psd, ...).
- File names should follow the author's name and ID card number (e.g., Nguyen Van A – 123456789).
5. Submission deadline:
- The submission period for entries starts from May 1st, 2017 and ends on June 30th, 2017;
The competition consists of 2 rounds.

- Final round: Presentation
Date: July 15, 2017
+ Location: Faculty of Management Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
Content: Presentation on logo and slogan design.
- The winning artwork will be further refined.

7.Rights and responsibilities of contestants:
- Contestants must comply with the rules provided by the Organizing Committee, including ensuring the following:
+ The submitted logo must not be subject to any copyright disputes;
+ The submitted logo must not have been used or appeared on any mass media, domestically or internationally;
The winning logo design from this competition may not be used in any other media publications or similar competitions.
- In the event that a copyright dispute arises after a winning entry has been submitted, the winning entry will be held fully responsible under the law.
- The prize will be awarded directly to the individual or organization whose entry wins the prize, or to a person authorized by the individual whose entry wins the prize, at the end of the competition. If the author is unable to attend the award ceremony, the Council will send the prize via postal mail.
8.Regulations regarding awards and prize giving:
- The competition prizes include:
+ 1st Prize: includes a Certificate of Award and the prize value.5.000.000copper;
+ 01 Most Popular Prize: includes a Certificate of Award and a prize value.1,000,000copper
+ Works selected for the final round will receive a subsidy of 200,000 VND per work.
The Faculty of Management Science is continuing to seek sponsorships and will announce additional prizes as decided by the sponsors.
The award ceremony will be conducted publicly by the Faculty of Management Science.
- Announcements about the winning entries will be posted on the bulletin board of the Faculty of Management Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and published on the faculty's website, student and alumni social media pages.
- In addition, based on the actual judging process, the judging panel may decide to award additional prizes.
9.Regulations regarding ownership rights for award-winning works.:
- The Faculty of Management Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, holds the unlimited copyright and full intellectual property registration rights for the first, second, and third prize-winning designs;
- The Faculty of Management Science at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has the full right to decide which logo design will be used in practice and has the right to request the author to modify or add certain details to suit the characteristics of the Faculty (if any);
- During the contest period, authors are not allowed to use the logos submitted to this contest to participate in any other contest.
