The Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, cordially invites faculty members, lecturers, students, and trainees to attend a thematic talk on "Data Journalism and Visualization Techniques for Journalistic Works".
The speaker is journalist John Duchneskie, graphic editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, where he has worked since 1985. At The Philadelphia Inquirer, Duchneskie is responsible for managing reporters and designers in producing content, images, maps, and data visualizations for print and online publications. Duchneskie has taught infographics at the University of Missouri and presented at numerous conferences, including APME's NewsTrain, a program of the American Institute of Journalism. His work has been recognized by the News Designers Association, the Professional Reporters Association, the Sports Reporters Association, and the Pennsylvania Press Association. Duchneskie grew up in New Jersey and is a fan of Philadelphia sports.
