This morning, June 3rd, 2010, the Faculty of International Studies was one of the first six faculties in the university to hold the graduation thesis defense for students of cohort K51 (QH-2006-X).This year, the Faculty of International Studies has 24 students undertaking dissertations, four more than in 2009. To select students for dissertations, in addition to the general criteria of the University, the Faculty of International Studies reviewed the students' average grades over seven semesters, with the number not exceeding 30% of the total student body. The dissertations focused on issues such as: international relations between major countries, issues related to the political situation and the reform process in Vietnam, and some other cultural topics. This year, the Faculty organized the dissertation defenses in four subcommittees, more than last year, to reduce the workload for the subcommittees and save time for the defense sessions. Although the official results are not yet available, according to the review board's assessment, the students' reports this year are of good quality, meeting the requirements for bachelor's degree training in three fields: European Studies, American Studies, and International Relations.
