1. Subjects and selection criteria
1.1. For students who have received the Vingroup-VNU Companion Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year:
- In the 2023-2024 school year, academic results must be excellent and training results must be good or better;
- Have a report on learning results and activities in the 2023-2024 school year and a plan for the 2024-2025 school year.
1.2. For students registering for the first time to receive the Vingroup-VNU Companion Scholarship:
- Students of QH.2024 class are Valedictorian/Salutatorian; or have excellent academic performance and good conduct in 3 years of high school; or have won prizes in regional and international Olympic competitions, national excellent student competitions;
- Students from 2nd year onwards: Have academic results of excellent or higher and training results of good or higher in the 2023-2024 school year;
- Passionate about scientific research, creative thinking, has achievements in scientific research, has research projects/topics that have won awards at all levels.
- Priority given to female students and students with difficult circumstances.
2. Scholarship value: 25 million VND/01 student/school year.
The total scholarship value is up to 100 million VND/4 years/01 student, if the student maintains academic results according to the Sponsor's regulations.
Scholarships are reviewed annually. Conditions for maintaining the scholarship: GPA of 3.2 or higher, training results of good or higher; connection with the scholarship program through regular joint activities according to the regulations of the Program. In case a student does not meet the requirements to maintain the scholarship, the scholarship will not be renewed and the scholarship will not be awarded to another student.
3. Rights and responsibilities of students receiving scholarships
3.1. Rights of students receiving scholarships
- Have the opportunity to participate in training programs on learning skills, research, soft skills and science and technology lectures by scientists working at VinUni University;
- Have the opportunity to apply for research projects with a Professor as a supervisor or submit research funding applications as an official VinUni student;
- Have the opportunity to access VinUni's library;
- Have the opportunity to intern and be recruited into companies of Vingroup Corporation after graduation, if the companies have recruitment needs.
3.2. Responsibilities of students receiving scholarships
- Actively participate in community projects with a minimum recommended time of 40 hours/year;
- Actively spread information about the scholarship program and introduce outstanding students to apply for new consideration every year;
- Be encouraged to participate in community projects carried out by VinUni students or propose projects for VinUni students and VNU students to participate in.
4. Scholarship quota for the entire VNU for first-time consideration:20 students, the quota for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is 03 students.
Note:
- Expected time to interview students: March 2025.
- Expected scholarship award date: April 2025.
5. Scholarship application form
5.1. For students who have received the Vingroup-VNU Companion Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year:
- Academic transcript for the 2023-2024 school year, certified by the unit;
- Report on learning results and activities in the 2023-2024 school year and plan for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Photocopy of evidence of: academic achievements, activities... from the time of receiving the scholarship until now (if any).
5.2. For students registering for the first time to receive the Vingroup-VNU Companion Scholarship:
- Student's self-introduction, with photo attached (according to form);
- Essay (typed) of about 500 words introducing yourself, your academic ability and what kind of person you want to become in the next 10 years;
- Transcript of academic year 2023-2024 certified by the training unit. For students of course QH.2024: Notice of university admission.
- Photocopies of evidence of: Academic achievements, awards, scientific research, difficult circumstances; foreign language certificates... (if any).
Students are required to arrange all the above documents in order and put them in a separate file bag. The outside of the file bag must include full information (Vingroup-VNU Companion Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year - Continued consideration/New consideration. Full name, date of birth, faculty and school address, phone number, email, list of documents). Submitted documents will not be returned.
In addition to the original documents, students submit a single pdf file with their application, including scanned copies of documents arranged in the above order, with the file name being the student's full name.
We respectfully request the Board of Directors of Faculties/Institutes/Departments to widely announce information about the scholarship program for students to register, send original scholarship nomination documents to the School (through the Student Affairs and Quality Assurance Department) and send the pdf file to the email address: bang@ussh.edu.vn before 11:00 on March 7, 2025 (Friday).
After the above deadline, if any unit does not have students submitting application documents to the School, it will be considered that the unit does not participate in this program.
