Announcement regarding the organization of the Foreign Language Proficiency Test for the Tourism Industry in Ho Chi Minh City.

1.Eligible participants:

• Tour guides who need to renew their international tour guide licenses.
• University students who aspire to become international tour guides.
• Other groups with needs

2.Foreign languages:English, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Spanish, Italian, Khmer, Indonesian…

3.Expected exam date:April 17, 2016 (Registration deadline: April 9, 2016)

4.Exam registration documents:

          a. One 4x6 photograph (write your full name and year of birth on the back of the photo)

          b. Application form for the exam (attached template)

          c. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (1 copy) and ID Card (1 copy)

5.Examination format

          a. Comprehensive writing test (reading, writing, and listening skills): 90 minutes.

          b. Thematic presentation: 7-10 minutes.

6.Exam fee:

a) Examination fee for one language:

• 2 contestants: 3,000,000 VND
• From 3 to 29 contestants: 2,500,000 VND
• For 30 or more participants: 2,300,000 VND

b) Retake exam fee:

• Retaking a skill: 50% of the exam fee.
• Retaking 2 skills: 70% of the exam fee.

7. Tuition fee for review courses:

+ Tuition fee: 1,000,000 VND/student (One million Vietnamese Dong)

+ Duration: 4 sessions (2.5 hours/session)
