Announcement of admission to the part-time, second degree program in Journalism, cohort QH-2015-X, in Bac Ninh.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Bac Ninh Center for Continuing Education, is organizing the recruitment for a second degree program in Journalism, part-time study, course QH-2015-X, with a quota of 60 students.

                    I.    ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Those who have a university degree, are not subject to criminal prosecution, and are in good health are eligible to study.

                    II. EXAMINATION SUBJECTS

Applicants must pass an entrance exam consisting of two subjects:

- Marxist-Leninist philosophy

- Modern Vietnamese Literature

III. PROCEDURES FOR ISSUING DOCUMENTS:

Application forms are issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The application period is from January 30, 2015 to March 15, 2015. Candidates can purchase and submit application forms at the Bac Ninh Continuing Education Center.

The application dossier includes:

1. Application form for the entrance examination, certified by the agency or local authority, with a photograph attached and a seal affixed (according to the application form template of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

2. A notarized copy of your university diploma.

3. A notarized copy of your university graduation transcript.

4. A notarized copy of the birth certificate.

5. Certified copy of the Priority Certificate (if applicable)

6. Decision of the head of the agency or enterprise to send the student to study (for those currently working in agencies or enterprises) or a letter of recommendation from the commune or ward where the student has permanent residence (for those not under the management of an agency or enterprise).

IV. EXAM PREPARATION AND ADMISSION EXAM

1. The school will organize exam preparation courses for candidates who need them. The preparation courses are tentatively scheduled for mid-March 2015.

2. Exam date: March 28, 2015

V. TRAINING DURATION:

Successful candidates will study in a non-intensive format on weekends. The entire course lasts 2-2.5 years.

             VI. PRIORITY POLICIES IN ADMISSION:

Candidates eligible for priority consideration will receive priority according to the current regulations on part-time university admissions issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, based on their region and registration category. For priority based on region, it is determined by the place of work, place of permanent residence registration, or place of high school education and graduation, whichever region has a higher priority level. (Article 6, Chapter I, Regulations on part-time university admissions issued under Decision No. 62/2008/QD-BGDĐT dated November 25, 2008, by the Minister of Education and Training). Individuals with multiple priority criteria will only receive the highest priority level. Priority certificates must be submitted once in the application dossier; supplementary submissions after the exam will not be accepted for priority consideration.

            VII. FEES

  • Registration fee: 60,000 VND/candidate. (To be paid with the application)
  • Examination fee: 600,000 VND/candidate (to be paid with the application).
