Sharing ASEAN: The ASEAN Network to the World Competition

According to Official Letter No. 1248/HTQT from the Department of International Cooperation - Ministry of Information and Communications, NETVIET Multimedia Joint Stock Company has been designated by the Ministry of Information and Communications to implement and coordinate the “Sharing ASEAN” project – a project managed by the Information Subcommittee of the ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information.

Sharing ASEAN: The ASEAN Network to the World Competition

The “Sharing ASEAN” project is an international competition held in 10 ASEAN countries from December 15, 2014 to February 10, 2015. The competition's theme focuses on life in ASEAN countries, reflecting the general aspects of daily life, customs, traditions, lifestyles, achievements, or challenges of ASEAN citizens through video clips created by ASEAN citizens themselves. The competition aims to be a vibrant portrayal of ASEAN, conveying a message about a diverse, integrated, and dynamic ASEAN.

This will be an exciting playground for all citizens living in the ASEAN region, regardless of age, with many attractive prizes. In addition, by participating in this competition, young people will also have the opportunity to intern in television, journalism, and film at NETVIET-VTC10, one of the ten essential national television channels produced by NETVIET Multimedia Communications Joint Stock Company in collaboration with VTC Digital Television Station.

The shortlisted and winning entries will be broadcast on NETVIET-VTC10. With its extensive coverage across all 63 provinces and cities nationwide through multimedia television infrastructure and broadcasting in over 100 countries worldwide, including 10 ASEAN television stations, NETVIET is confident that the competition will reach all five continents.

Introduction to NETVIET

September 2008

VTC10-NETVIET channel has the mission of connecting the Vietnamese community at home and around the world.

January 2011

Broadcast in the US, it is offered on the satellite television service of Dish Network – the second-largest satellite television provider in the US with approximately 14 million subscribers.

July 2012

Recognized as one of the 10 essential national television channels.

September 2012

It was assigned the task of being a television channel serving the Vietnamese community abroad in the plan for foreign broadcasting and television until 2020 issued by the Prime Minister.

January 2013

Broadcast in France, it is provided by Orange TV, one of the largest IPTV providers in France, offering services to over 4.8 million subscribers.

May 2013

Officially covering all 63 provinces and cities nationwide via the infrastructure of VTV Cab, SCTV, HTVC, VTC, K+, etc.

April 2014

Transmission is being expanded using the Hot Bird 13D satellite to cover Europe, the Galaxy 19 satellite to cover North America, and the Vinasat 1 and NSS6 satellites in Asia.

November 2014

In November 2014, NETVIET became available through Bell TV, one of the largest and most reputable television broadcasters in Canada.

To date, NETVIET has been broadcast multimedia in more than 100 countries worldwide.
