Recruitment for the Master's Program in Applied Journalism

The Institute of Journalism and Communication Training is currently the ONLY institution offering an APPLIED-ORIENTED MASTER'S PROGRAM IN JOURNALISM, with training conducted locally.

FOR ALL UNIVERSITY GRADUATES, IN ALL FIELDS OF STUDY (*)

In 2019, the Master of Applied Journalism program recruited and conducted training in HANOI, DA NANG, BINH DUONG, and VINH LONG.
Entrance exam and study location:
In Hanoi: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
In Da Nang: American University in Vietnam (AUV, Da Nang)
In Binh Duong: Binh Duong University, Binh Duong Province
In Vinh Long: Cuu Long University, Vinh Long province

Training duration:18-24 months (including thesis writing time). Classes are held on weekends.

The program focuses on key issues of interest to the press, such as: Trends in modern journalism, Convergent and multimedia communication, Journalism economics, Social media communication, Data journalism, Legal and ethical issues in journalism in the context of digital media, and Specialized communication skills in politics, economics, culture, and social issues.
The program provides excellent support for journalists and editors to enhance their professional skills in the context of multimedia communication, as well as improve the media management capabilities of leadership and management staff.

(*) Candidates who do not have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism need to take a 2-month bridging course to meet the requirements for the Master's program.
