Ussh's Got Talent 2018

I. Purpose

- We are looking for talented students in various fields: music, dance, magic, etc.

- To help students, especially freshmen, have the opportunity to showcase their talents, integrate into the university environment, socialize, make friends, and connect with students from different cohorts.

- It helps students assess their potential for development, providing them with motivation and confidence to participate in larger arenas.

II. Program Content

1. Registration:

- Eligible applicants: Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

- Registration format: Individual performance or group performance.

- Types of performances to register: Music (singing, playing musical instruments, etc.); variety shows (comedy, magic, circus, traditional arts, etc.), showcasing passion, confidence, and dreams.

- Registration method:

● Register Online:

+) Register according to the instructions on the program's Fanpage.
Registration period: August 20, 2018 – September 7, 2018.

● Register in person:

+) Submit registration forms at the Youth Union - Student Association office (E104): August 20, 2018 - September 7, 2018.

+) Submit directly to the organizing committee at the Audition venue: September 10th, 2018 - September 12th, 2018.

2. Audition Round:

- Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on September 10th - 12th, 2018.

- Location: G105 & G106(Expected)

- Rules:

● Candidates must arrive at the venue to register and receive their candidate number at the organizing committee's desk.

● Contestants will perform their acts in the order they received their contestant numbers.

● BTC will select the performances that qualify to advance to the next round.

● Results will be announced immediately after candidates complete the test.

2. Ranked Round:

- Time: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM on September 14, 2018.

- Location: Auditorium on the 8th floor of building E.

- Rules:

● Candidates must register at the registration venue and at the organizing committee's desk.

● Contestants will perform their acts in the order they registered, retaining the same contestant number they received in the previous round.

● Selected contestants will perform their finalized acts from the Audition round.

● The judging panel will directly monitor and score the performances based on the program's criteria and select the Top 10 best performances.

- The top 10 best performances will be announced on the program's Fanpage on September 15, 2018.

3. Final Round:

- Location: Home Court E

- Date: September 22, 2018

● Welcome party for K63

- Time: From 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

- Content: Welcome party for new students, open to all students, featuring refreshments, cultural performances, etc.

● USSH's Got Talent Finals

- Time: From 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

- The top 10 best performances will be presented in the order arranged by the organizers.

- The judging panel monitors and scores according to the program's criteria.

4. Requirements for competition entries:

- Prepare your own costume that is appropriate for the performance.

- Prepare all necessary equipment and props related to the performance.

III/ Scoring criteria for the Ranked Round and the Grand Finale:

Total score: 100 points

1/ Performance technique: 40 points

2/ Performance demeanor: 30 points

3/ Content and meaning of the performance, reflecting the theme: passion, confidence, dreams: 20 points

4. Audience effect: 10 points
