On the implementation of foreign language proficiency standards in university training organizations at Hanoi National University

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities requests training units to inform students of the following main contents:

1. According to Official Dispatch No. 4116/DHQGHN-DT dated December 14, 2021 of the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Students whose foreign language proficiency meets the output standards of the training program before the graduation consideration date are proven by one of the equivalent foreign language certificates in the appendix attached to this Official Dispatch (must still be valid as of the date of submission of the certificate). Applicable from May 1, 2022.
For final year students (who have studied and taken the final exam of the foreign language course according to Instruction No. 297/HD-VNU) who have a Decision on recognition of meeting foreign language output standards from the Rector of the University of Foreign Languages ​​before May 1, 2022, accepted by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
2. Currently, all final year students of the University who have studied and taken the final exam of the foreign language course according to Instruction No. 297/HD-VNU, have received the Decision to recognize the achievement of foreign language output standards from the Rector of the University of Foreign Languages ​​before May 1, 2022, so they will be considered for graduation normally as in previous years.
According to Official Dispatch No. 4116/VNU-DT, students who are not in their final year (have studied and completed the foreign language course according to Instruction 297/HD-VNU) still need to take the certificate exam to meet the output standards of the training program (According to the appendix attached to this Official Dispatch).
Units are requested to seriously implement the above notice contents.
