Student/Trainee Exchange Program at Chuo University, Japan, Spring 2025 for VNU-USSH students

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is pleased to announce the Spring 2025 student/trainee exchange program with Chuo University, Japan, for students/trainees of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Details about the program are as follows:
1. Program name:Student/trainee exchange program for Spring 2025
2. Study time:
- For students/learners enrolling for one semester: From April 2025 to the end of July 2025.
- For students/learners enrolling in a one-year program: From April 2025 to January 2026.
3. Organizational structure:directly at the training facility
4. Benefits:Students/trainees are exempt from tuition fees and receive dormitory support at the training facility (subject to dormitory availability).
5. Targets:Two students/learners can participate in an exchange program for one year, or four students/learners can participate in an exchange program for one semester.
6. Program participation requirements:
For undergraduate programs:
- Must be a second-year or third-year student at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4-point scale).
- Possesses foreign language skills:
Japanese language: JLPT N3 or higher; for Business/Science and Technology majors, JLPT N2 or higher is required (for students enrolled in programs taught in Japanese).
If a student applying does not have a JLPT N2 or higher Japanese language proficiency certificate but still wishes to study in the Science and Engineering field as an exchange student, they will need to submit the following additional documents: Study Plan (Form C1) in Japanese, Japanese Language Proficiency Certificate (Form F), JLPT Certificate (if available);
For postgraduate programs:
- Students must have completed at least one semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4-point scale).
- Possesses foreign language skills:
A minimum Japanese language proficiency certificate of JLPT N3 or higher is required, except for Law/Economics/Commerce/Literature/Policy Research majors, which require JLPT N2 or higher (mandatory for registered students).
7. Application documents:
ButApplication form for participation in the VNU program.;
- Transcript certified by the employing university;
- A foreign language certificate that meets the requirements in section 6;
- Admission certificate from the university;
- University degree (for postgraduate programs);
- Study plan (see attached document or link);
- Passport photo;
- Medical certificate;
- Provide proof of financial resources as required by the partner;
Proof of participation in extracurricular activities and scientific research (if any).

* Note:
Students/trainees should save the translated documents as PDF files in English or Japanese so that VNU can send them to its partners.
Students should save the information in the following format: *Serial number_Student name_File name*. For example: “2_NguyenHaLinh_Academic Transcript” to send to partners when requested.
8. Application submission location and deadline:
Training units will compile and send soft copies of student/trainee records to the following email address:ipd@vnu.edu.vnand send a hard copy of the application to the 담당 officer (Pham Hai Quang, Cooperation and Development Department - Room A103, Administration Building, Vietnam National University, Hanoi at Hoa Lac).before August 10, 2024 for postgraduate programsandBefore September 10, 2024, for undergraduate programs.
