At the Conference, the School Board of Directors awarded the President's Decisions to confer the title of "Excellent Teacher" and the Minister of Education and Training's Certificates of Merit to a number of officials from the School's training and administrative units.

Next, the Conference listened to the Report on the implementation of work in November 2021 and the work plan for December 2021 of the units.
Accordingly, in November, the School has implemented many activities in 4 key areas of Party work, organization, and mass organizations; training, student affairs, quality assurance, inspection and law; scientific research, cooperation and development; administrative work, facilities, finance, and IT. Some typical activities include: Continuing to improve leadership and management personnel of some units such as the Faculty of International Studies, the Faculty of Anthropology, the Faculty of Tourism Studies; implementing the consideration of the title of Professor/Associate Professor at the Faculty Council in 2021; enrolling the second batch and opening the QH-2021-X postgraduate course; summarizing the School Quality Improvement Project for the 2018-2021 period; reviewing the process of organizing national and international scientific conferences, seminars, and symposiums; Strengthening the Executive Board and Secretariat of the Project on Building and Applying a Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015 standards; implementing guidance on building technical and economic norms according to Decree 81/ND-CP of the Government on tuition fees; adjusting the School's internal spending regulations.
In December 2021, the School will continue to implement and deploy new tasks in the above fields.
After the report, the Conference listened to the opinions of the Vice Principals, along with representatives of the Faculties, departments, and units under and directly under the University. All opinions agreed with the draft report prepared by the Administration and General Department and proposed specific opinions to further improve the effectiveness of work in December.
Associate Professor, Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Principal of the School) spoke about training, student affairs, inspection and legal affairs.
Concluding the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of the units in implementing the tasks of November, and at the same time hoped that the units would continue to strive to complete the targets and tasks in December. The Principal emphasized a number of key tasks that need to be implemented in December:
First, continue to strengthen epidemic prevention work in the face of complicated developments of the Omicron variant. The school will conduct Covid-19 tests for administrative staff and leaders of units regularly to ensure their safety; the responsible departments will develop plans and roadmaps to deploy the third vaccination for staff.
Second, propose programs, projects, and topics bearing the identity of social sciences and humanities such as ethnic issues, religion, socialism, national sovereignty, seas and islands, Vietnamese culture, etc. to propose to the Government through VNU to invest in a spirit of concentration, prioritizing the promotion of the construction and materialization of strong research groups and key research.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Principal of the School) spoke about scientific research, international publications, and training quality assurance.
Third, improve the effectiveness of communication work in a systematic and in-depth manner. Units need to be more proactive in building their image and brand to increase opportunities for enrollment, training, and scientific research. In addition, it is necessary to spread the image of the School to society through highly social activities, policies, scholarship regimes, and learning incentives for students and postgraduates of the School.
Fourth, complete the summary of the 2021 work in all areas of activities of the Party, government and mass organizations, and Party work contents according to the guidance of the City Party Committee and VNU; organize Party work conferences; combine mid-term evaluation with year-end summary and evaluation and review and supplement planning at units.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (School Principal) delivered a concluding speech at the Conference.
In addition, perform some other specific tasks such as:
- Complete and issue management documents such as Regulations on management decentralization - management operation procedures in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Internal spending regulations;
- Deploying the development of electronic lectures for some basic subjects to enrich the scientific material repository according to the roadmap for innovation in teaching methods of VNU;
- Complete the revision and approval to issue the document on Regulations on grassroots topics, Regulations on supporting international publications; plan and organize the International Scientific Conference for young staff and postgraduate students on the basis of the Conference of young staff and postgraduate students to serve the work of protecting on schedule;
- Continue to implement the School's assessment activities according to schedule, speed up the development of programs and plans for 06 programs registered for accreditation in 2002.
- Develop tuition fees according to technical and economic norms according to Decree 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government on the mechanism for collection, management and tuition exemption and reduction policies for accredited and valid training programs.
