Tourism activities closely linked to event organization, such as festivals, food festivals, etc., are a common development trend in many countries around the world, as well as in Vietnam. This development trend requires society to provide high-quality human resources with the necessary skills for professional event management related to tourism.
Having nurtured this idea for many years, and after a process of investigation, research, and curriculum development, the Faculty of Tourism Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities officially launched the Event Management program on May 27, 2013. This is a relatively new field and has attracted much interest from young people in Vietnam.
