On June 3, 2013, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) held a meeting with Professor Lee Geun Young (Rector of Daejin University, South Korea).
The two sides discussed potential areas of future cooperation between the two universities. They agreed to send a number of students for short-term study in Korean Studies at Daejin University and in Vietnamese Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. A scientific exchange and interaction session between faculty and students from both universities is planned for October 2013. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities also proposed collaborating with Daejin University to organize an international scientific conference in 2014.
The principals of the two schools also agreed on a step-by-step roadmap for cooperation, striving to diversify joint activities in order to promote regular, effective, and in-depth collaboration.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Daejin University officially signed a cooperation agreement in 2012. Daejin University is a private university in South Korea, established in 1992, with strengths in research and training in social sciences and humanities, arts, engineering, religion, etc. The university has 8,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students. It has two branches in China with a training scale of 1,000 students.
