Many questions are direct concerns of students during the process of carrying out scientific research topics and have been answered and shared by teachers and senior students with experience in scientific research.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Huong - Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication - shared with students about the benefits of scientific research as well as the necessary requirements to complete a student scientific research project.
Answering the question “How to choose a good and suitable topic?”, lecturer Phan Kien said that students should choose small, suitable topics to research. At the same time, Mr. Phan Kien also guided students in two ways to “prettify” their topics: dividing the research content and narrowing the research scope.
Regarding the question related to how to survey, collect information and scientific research materials, Dr. Dang Thu Huong shared that students should select information from three sources: available materials (internet, books, newspapers, etc.), through public surveys and through direct, practical observation.
Lecturer Le Thu Ha shares ways to present Powerpoint in a concise, attractive and effective way.
Without giving a specific answer about the criteria for evaluating a scientific research, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Thai shared useful experiences about studying and working in journalism. That is, every day, students should choose to read and collect good articles, then analyze them from a cultural perspective. And when reading an article, students must always ask the question: "If I wrote this news/article, could I write it better?"
Many students shared: the exchange session was really practical, useful and very urgent before a new scientific research season is coming.
