Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen The Ky, General Director of Voice of Vietnam, said that students from the Faculty of Journalism (now the Institute of Journalism and Communication) always have their own unique characteristics.
The unique feature is that the faculty was established on the basis of the social science faculties of the University. The social science and humanities quality in journalism students, especially lecturers in the faculty, is very clear.
"People say journalism is not writing, but journalism requires literary quality. It is the teachers who have passed that literary quality on to generations of students," said Mr. Ky.
Admissions to the Institute's Journalism, High-Quality Journalism and Public Relations majors have always been in the top 3 majors with the most students registered for many consecutive years. 100% of lecturers have a master's degree or higher, of which 35% of the institute's teaching staff are associate professors, more than 60% have a doctorate. Many staff have received professional training in the Soviet Union, England, Australia, Korea, Russia... and are prestigious experts in the academic and media research community. |
