Mr. Dam Quoc Hiep and Danko Scholarship Fund for USSH

Mr. Dam Quoc Hiep (Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danko Group) is a former student of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is the architect of the Danko scholarship fund for students of the University.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Huu Su (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danko Group), Mr. Dam Quoc Hiep (Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danko Group), Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang (Chairman of the Science and Training Council of VNU), Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

Mr. Dam Quoc Hiep (Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danko Group) and Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh signed the official cooperation document between the two units in the presence of guests.

The Danko Scholarship Fund has an initial value of 1 billion VND, to support students with excellent academic achievements at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is the heart of Mr. Tran Huu Su - a former student of the University sent to the students in particular and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in general. Through this event, Danko also shared the desire to contribute and accompany the development of the young generation and the country's education.

On behalf of the staff and students of the School, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his deep gratitude for the beautiful gesture of a businessman, a successful alumnus of the School. Thanks to such hearts, many generations of students of the School will have more opportunities to overcome difficulties and have more motivation in studying and training. The establishment of the Fund will also strongly inspire students in the process of starting a business and establishing a career; encouraging the humane spirit always towards the development of the community.

With the orientation of “Liberal Education” and the motto “Respect the past and look to the future” imbued in the development orientation of the School, combined with the support of businesses such as Danko, the School’s students will not only be rich in knowledge but also have the courage and aspiration to conquer future successes.

On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13), Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh wished Danko Group to continue to have strong development steps; increasingly affirming its role - excellent entrepreneurs and businesses contributing to the development of the country.

Sharing about the idea of establishing the Fund, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danko Group - Mr. Tran Huu Su said that he hopes this will be an investment for the young generation - for the future. And for the Fund to develop sustainably and expand its influence, Danko will continue to call on the hearts of entrepreneurs and other individuals to contribute spiritually and materially to the Fund.

Sharing his feelings at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang said that the cooperation between a leading university in Vietnam and a business like Danko is a bright spot, a positive indicator of the development of education. The combination of educators and businesses will open up new opportunities for students in the future. This is also the precious heart of a successful former student towards the University - the cradle that gave him the knowledge and aspirations to establish a career to achieve the success he has today.
