Female student of Humanities with excellent GPA, 5-Good Student for many consecutive years

Promote self-study methods to achieve high efficiency
Receiving the attention, encouragement and guidance from her family, the final year female student has more motivation to study and practice to pursue her passion. Hue always prepares and researches carefully, especially in choosing a major.Nguyen Thi Hue (21 years old, from Thai Nguyen) is a 4th year student, majoring in Tourism & Travel Services Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Sharing the reason for registering for Tourism & Travel Services Management, she recalled: “At the time of researching universities to realize my dream, I only searched once and up to now I always feel this choice is right. In fact, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) - a school with a long history with a team of lecturers who are Professors, leading PhDs with high professional qualifications and reasonable tuition fees. However, the decisive factor that made me place my wish here is because the USSH Tourism Department is the leading tourism training unit in Vietnam. Everything I was interested in at that time was met, that is why I placed 2/4 of my wishes in Tourism - Humanities. After nearly 4 years of studying, Hue has acquired general knowledge (macro), specialized knowledge, office skills, soft skills, personal development skills, etc. In addition, the female student from Tra land also learns through the opportunity to interact and rub shoulders with many different activities. Last summer, Hue was honored to participate in the 2023 Vietnam - Japan Summer Student Exchange Program. This is a memorable mark in her 4 years of university. Hue said that when she received this opportunity, she was worried because she did not know much about Japan: she did not know the culture, behavior, communication, and language,... Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of the instructors and the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, Hue and her group of students had a wonderful experience living and studying in the land of the rising sun.
“Through the trip, even though it was a short time, it seems like I have improved my thinking, adaptability, behavior,... Especially, I was able to connect with foreign friends that I still keep in touch with until now!” – Hue emphasized. To maintain excellent academic results with a GPA of 3.65/4 and win many scholarships, Hue applies self-study methods. She said: "To self-study effectively, I follow Bloom's cognitive scale (proposed in 1956 by Benjamin Bloom, an educational psychologist at the University of Chicago)."
Female Union and Association officials have many contributions
Besides studying, Hue always actively participates in Union - Association activities and student movements organized inside and outside the school such as: Welcome Day for New Students QH-2022 and QH-2023; "My Class is Number 1" series of activities; Reborn Art Gala; FTS SHOW Program; "VNU's Got Talent 2023" Contest, "SOL show II: Under the stage lights" Art Program... Growing up from the Youth Union activities, Hue said: “In each program, whether as a team leader or a member, I learned a lot of knowledge from my colleagues. From there, I realized my own shortcomings to gradually correct them, learned how to connect people and work logically and effectively. In particular, I know how to build an event organization process through practice and self-study ability - an excellent essential skill.”
With her efforts, the female student has achieved many outstanding achievements such as: The title of 5 Good Students at Hanoi National University for 3 consecutive years; Award from the Executive Committee of the Student Union of the School, Award from the Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities;... Recently, she was honored to receive the title of "Outstanding Young Face" at the grassroots level for the 2022-2023 school year. Like many other students, Hue takes advantage of her free time to work part-time. Currently, the female student prioritizes jobs related to tourism and services such as: tour assistant, tour guide, participating in Hanoi motorbike tours, and running tour businesses to gradually get used to future jobs. All of the above jobs, in addition to bringing in income, also train the female student in soft skills as well as expanding her professional knowledge at work, improving her thinking and personal image. It is the difficulties and failures she has encountered in her work that have helped Hue learn many memorable lessons.
As a young person in the new era of integration, Hue wants to tell students: “Study, constantly improve yourself to become the best version of yourself. When each individual becomes comprehensive, it will promote the development of society and vice versa, do not let yourself fall behind the progress of modern society. If you are sad about the things you have done, it is still better than regretting the things you have not done. Therefore, just give away good values, and those values ​​will come back to you, it is just a matter of sooner or later!”.

· Average GPA of 3.65/4, received a scholarship from the school budget twice with cumulative scores of 3.85 and 3.91, and a scholarship from the Faculty's Alumni Fund twice;
· Participate in the program "Vietnam - Japan Summer Student Exchange at Rikkyo University, Japan" organized by the Faculty of Tourism Studies and School of Tourism, Rikkyo University, Japan, with sponsorship from JASSO - Japan Student Services Organization;
