VNU Hanoi received a notice from the Harvard-Yenching Institute about sending VNU staff to participate in research programs at the Institute for social sciences and humanities.

1. Short-term scholarship program

• Major in Social Sciences and Humanities
• Study time: 11 months
• English proficiency: Proficient

2. Scholarship program for postgraduate students

• Major in Social Sciences and Humanities (priority given to East Asian Studies)
• Study time: 03 semesters
• Candidates are currently doing PhD at their workplace
• English proficiency: TOEFL certificate (500 points or higher) must be submitted to the Academy before September 1, 2009.

3. Doctoral training scholarship program

• Major in Social Sciences and Humanities
• Professional study time (excluding thesis writing time): 3.5 years
• English proficiency: TOEFL certificate (550 points or higher); GRE certificate must be sent to students before October 15, 2009.
