Meeting with the delegation of Chungwoon University (South Korea)

Chungwoon University and USSH have shared relations for nearly 20 years. According to the MOU on developing 3+1 training programs signed in 2002, each year USSH receives around 10 Korean students to study at its Faculty of Vietnamese studies and language.

At the meeting, GS. Kim Jong Uk highly appreciated USSH's goodwill and proposed expanding the fields of cooperation to conducting joint studies, organizing seminars and cultural exchanges between students of two sides, etc. On training affairs, he suggested developing more joint programs at the graduate level, especially those with high applicability such as Hotel & tourism, Social welfare, and Communication. In addition, Chungwoon University looks forward to cooperating with USSH to establish a Vietnamese studies center at its Incheon campus.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan agreed with the proposals suggested by Prof. Kim Jong Uk and said, thanks to the similarities between their training programs, the two universities have ample opportunities to cooperate at the graduate level. The Vice Rector said he will inform about the possibility of cooperation to USSH's training units and proposed the two sides regularly keep in touch and exchange information on the details of cooperative activities.

Chungwoon University was founded in 1995, Chung Nam Province, the Korean Ministry of Education recognized the university as a key university of Chung Nam Province. The university has over 6,000 students and includes 6 training units University of Medicine, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Hospitality and Tourism, faculty of Education and Graduate School. The Graduate School was founded in 1990 and includes 30 departments of diverse disciplines such as architecture, tourism, trade, music and communication.
