At the meeting, Prof.Dr. Pham Quang Minh introduced to Mr. Joerg Helmke the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities, the first high school specializing in the training of Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. The School officially held its entrance examination in July 2020, in which the English test saw relatively good scores from the candidates. Following a policy of comprehensive training and internationalization, the High School also pays attention to foreign language training. With that in mind, the School hopes to receive the support of ZfA in teaching this language.

ZfA is willing to support the School through improving German proficiency for its teachers, providing materials, and tranferring professional knowledge. He also invited the School to join the PASCH (Schools: Partners for the Future) initiatve, with more than 2000 members.

After the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu invited Mr. Joerg Helmke to have a general look at the facilities, campus and classrooms of the School so as to devise the future plans for cooperation.
