QS Top 50 under 50 2021: VNU features in Group 101-150 world's leading universities for the first time

Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), for the first time, features in Group 101-150 global young universities with top education quality in the QS Top 50 Under 50 University Rankings 2021 published on June 24, 2020. This ranking also lists VNU - Ho Chi Minh City and thus, featuring both national universities of Vietnam.

VNU IN TOP 500 UNIVERSITIES IN ASIA IN 2020

The Times Higher Education (THE) weekly bulletin has just released the ranking of the best universities in Asia in 2020. Vietnam has 3 representatives, namely Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).

USSH in close collaboration with Facebook in "Facebook for Vietnam" 2020

That was the affirmation of Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) at the lauching ceremony of the "Facebook for Vietnam" campaign on May, 24th. This campaign is a collaborative project of Facebook and the US Mission to Vietnam and partners on the ocassion of the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations.

Announcement of sponsoring Contract with UPM Co., Ltd

On May 7th, 2020, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) and Mrs. Tran Thi Ngoc Hoa (Director of UPM Co., Ltd) announced the signing of the sponsoring Contract on the E-learning training system at the University. Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh sends appreciation letter to Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam

On March 25th, 2020, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) welcomed Mrs. Chuman Ai (Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam). He asked Mrs. Chuman Ai to send an appreciation letter and warm regards from the University to Mr. Kunio Umeda - Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam as he is concluding his term and returning to Japan.

E-learning workshop for USSH's lecturers

A workshop on E-learning platform fully sponsored by UPM Vietnam Co., Ltd (part of Bao Ninh corporation) for teaching staff of USSH took place on February 27-28. Over 80 lecturers of all units were instructed by UPM's technicians on creating accounts and establishing teaching syllabuses online, which will be an ingredient in their teaching activities in the next semester.

VNU and two other Vietnamese universities feature in the latest world university rankings

In February 2020, THE - Times Higher Education, published the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2020, in which, Vietnam has 3 ranked higher education institutions, out of 533 universities from 47 countries included in the ranking.

FLIS' lecturers take part in E-learning course

On February 20th, 2020, the lecturers of USSH's Faculty of Library - Information Science took part in the E-learning course sponsored by UPM Education Development Joint Stock Company.

Photo exhibition on Vietnam in Spain held by VNU and Valladolid University

Implementing the cooperation agreements between the two universities, VNU collaborated with Valladolid University (Spain) to organize a photo exhibition on "Vietnam: The land, people and culture" in the city of Palencia, one of the long-standing centres of culture and history in Spain.

Vietnam National University – Hanoi up 216 steps in rankings

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National University – Hanoi (VNU) remains the top in Vietnam with the 1090th place globally, up 216 steps from the ranking announced in August 2018.
