Nearly 50 prestigious universities in The 2023 Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition

The exhibition was organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam on October 13, 2023, attracting thousands of audiences as well as universities and businesses.
The 2023 Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition attracted the participation of 44 leading universities in Taiwan in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, Foreign Languages, Pedagogy, Culture and Arts; Natural Ncience - Engineering - Technology; Medicine - Agriculture - Forestry; Economic Management. This is one of the largest number of universities participating in any type of educational exhibition. Here, Vietnamese students had many opportunities to find out more about many valuable scholarships as well as studying experiences with international students.

At the opening, Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, affirmed that, as a leading university in Vietnam, VNU -USSH has a leading mission in creating and spreading knowledge, catering towards creating high-quality human resources. VNU-USSH has established and expanded cooperation with many universities in Taiwan to increase the exchange rate of lecturers and students, as well as coordinate to organize seminars, international conferences and scientific research.
This exhibition is a great opportunity for Vietnamese students who wish to study abroad and work in Taiwan, providing more chances to learn, interact and connect with universities – a big preparation for their future" - Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, informed that every year, Taiwan's education management agency provides many long-term scholarships and Chinese language scholarships for Vietnamese students to study in Taiwan. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh shared: "Hopefully through this collaboration, both sides will press onwards in promoting Vietnam - Taiwan university education cooperation."

In recent years, economic, cultural and educational cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan has made remarkable progress. Among Southeast Asian countries, Vietnam is one of the most sought-after locations for Taiwanese investors, marking Taiwan as the fourth largest investor in Vietnam. Possessing an advanced education system that meets international standards, Taiwan provides international students with great learning opportunities at more competitive tuition fees than many other education systems in the same region, attracting a large number of Vietnamese students to come and advance their education careers.
According to Mr. Thach Thuy Ky - Chief Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, in 2022, 23,728 Vietnamese students were studying in Taiwan, making Vietnam a country with the highest number of international students in Taiwan. “When studying abroad in Taiwan, you can choose a program taught in Chinese or English, or study both languages at the same time. Experience in Taiwan can nurture and promote career development, as well as contribute to the future achievements of students." - Mr. Thach Thuy Ky informed.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and several Vietnamese universities signed MOUs with universities in Taiwan on cooperation in training, scientific research, and student/lecturer exchange.
