According to the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA) standards for evaluating the quality of training programs, key aspects of the training program will be assessed, such as: program learning outcomes and results, teaching content, teaching methods, assessment methods, quality assurance activities, faculty and students, facilities and student support… Based on this, the evaluation team will provide advice to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to improve and enhance the quality of its training programs.
In addition to reviewing the self-assessment report and supporting documents, the team also conducted direct interviews with relevant stakeholders, including: training unit leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, employers, and members involved in the self-assessment process (SAR team).
The AUN-QA assessment team worked with training unit leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders involved in the self-assessment process.
In addition, the delegation also visited the school's facilities, the facilities of each Faculty, and several related departments such as the Training Department, the Political and Student Affairs Department, the computer lab, etc., as well as attending classes of the evaluated training programs.
Previously, the three training programs had conducted a self-assessment of program quality starting in February 2023 and submitted their self-assessment reports two months before the evaluation team arrived at the training units (September 2023).
The evaluation team toured the facilities at the student dormitory of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
According to Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy, Director of the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the AUN-QA program evaluation is a great opportunity for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to receive useful advice from education experts from leading universities in the region. This helps the university identify its strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in the evaluated programs. Accrediting training programs according to international standards will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of University of Social Sciences and Humanities students in the labor market, as well as improving the university's reputation and brand, and making a positive contribution to social development.
