The Center for Korean Language and Korean Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was established with the aim of offering internationally standardized Korean language training programs in Vietnam, contributing to expanding knowledge of Korean culture and language for all Vietnamese students. The Center and its partner, Sangmyung University (Korea), have collaborated to offer a variety of high-quality training programs suitable for all types of students.
The first course will begin on July 6, 2009. Registration is open from June 15 to July 1, 2009. Students will have two trial classes on June 27 and July 4, 2009, before officially starting the course.
Currently, the center offers Korean language classes at the beginner level (beginner 1 and beginner 2), intermediate level (intermediate 1 and intermediate 2), and advanced level (advanced 1 and advanced 2), as well as courses in conversational Korean, Korean for studying abroad, and business Korean. The instructors are native speakers from the Korean Language and Culture Training Center at Sangmyung University. The curriculum is based on the most up-to-date textbooks from renowned Korean universities. Students will not only learn theory but will also find it engaging to practice Korean in various roles and specific practical situations. The goal of the courses is to instill confidence and dynamism in students as they become proficient in using Korean in their studies, research, and communication.
While studying at the Center, students also receive valuable advice from experienced instructors and experts on effective Korean language learning methods, the latest information on Korean education, and insights into the unique culture of Korea. This is especially helpful and necessary for students who aspire to study at Korean universities, work for Korean agencies and businesses in Korea and Vietnam. With good academic results, students may receive scholarships and be introduced to Korean companies by the Center for employment opportunities.
Upon completion of the course, students receive a graduation certificate issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Sangmyung University, and have the opportunity to undertake practical internships at the Korean Language and Culture Training Center at Sangmyung University.
