Tourism is a rapidly developing "smoke-free industry" that has made a significant contribution to the country's GDP in recent years. According to statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the Vietnamese tourism industry needs nearly 40,000 additional workers each year, but only 14,000 students graduate, of which only over 12% have a college degree or higher. This high demand for human resources, coupled with the low number of graduates each year, has made Tourism and Travel Service Management one of the hottest and highest-paying professions.
