10. Summary of new results of the thesis:

The thesis adds to the theoretical research system on parental education and self-assessment. Clarify the influence of parental education on secondary school students' self-assessment. Point out the factors affecting students' self-assessment.

The results of the empirical study showed that: the assessment of parents' PCGD is correlated with students' self-assessment. Specifically, students' assessment of their parents as having democratic and liberal/permissive PCGD is positively correlated with their self-assessment in the areas of emotions, future and family. Students' assessment of their parents as having authoritarian PCGD is negatively correlated with their self-assessment in these areas.

Students rated their parents as having democratic and authoritarian parenting styles as having the greatest impact on their family self-assessment, and students rated their parents as having liberal parenting styles as having the greatest impact on their future self-assessment.

The research results also show that in the combined PCGD, students believe that the democratic PCGD combined with the authoritarian PCGD of parents has an impact on their self-assessment of their family. At the same time, the research results also show that the PCGD of parents combined with the concern for their children's emotional life is a factor that increases students' self-assessment.

Some factors that influence parental PCGD include those related to child characteristics: extroverted children and first-born children rate their parents as having more authoritarian PCGD than introverted children and second-born children. Students' self-assessment is influenced by factors such as gender, introversion-extroversion type, school, and classroom.

11. Practical application:

The research results of the thesis are one of the reference materials for teaching Family Psychology, Counseling for children and adolescents, Family Counseling, School Counseling and practical applications related to psychological assistance for students and parents.

12. Further research directions:

The topic also suggests some issues that need to be further expanded in future studies such as: Research on parents to compare the assessment of parents and children on the same issue of PCGD and how different their self-assessment is. Research to design a scale that can specifically measure the combined PCGD of parents.
