10. Summary of new results of the thesis:

The thesis has established a set of criteria for identifying syntactic variations of Vietnamese sentences, contributing to sketching a more comprehensive picture of Vietnamese sentences from the perspective of language activities. Syntactic variations of sentences are utterances that have the same syntactic structure and express the same situation but differ in surface expression and pragmatic function.

The thesis classifies and describes the formal structure of three types of syntactic variants of Vietnamese simple sentences: syntactic variants of element order, syntactic variants of element omission and syntactic variants of adding emphatic agents. From the structural perspective, syntactic variants of a simple sentence are distinguished based on differences in element order, presence or absence of elements and the addition or absence of emphatic words.

The thesis also analyzes the context of use and explains function as an important pragmatic motivation for the formation of syntactic variations. From a functional perspective, syntactic variations serve specific functions such as emphasizing important information, maintaining coherence in the utterance chain, expressing the speaker's attitude, etc.

11. Practical application:

The research results of the thesis on syntactic variations of simple sentences, from both structural and functional aspects, can be used to compile research documents such as treatises on Vietnamese syntax and teaching materials such as Vietnamese textbooks and Vietnamese textbooks for foreigners.

12. Further research directions:

- Variations in language;

- Some issues of Vietnamese grammar and semantics;

- The relationship between language, culture and thinking.

10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

This thesis establishes a set of criteria to identify the syntactic variants of Vietnamese sentences. Syntactic variants of Vietnamese simple sentences are utterances which are similar in syntactic structure and state of affairs, but different in surface form and pragmatic function.

The thesis classifies and describes the formal structure of three types of syntactic variants of Vietnamese simple sentences: variants by constituent order, variants by ellipsis and variants with focus operators. From the structural perspective, syntactic variants of sentences were defined by the difference of constitute order, the presence or absence of constituents and the addition to focus operators.

The thesis also analyzes context and explains function as an important factor in forming syntactic variants. From the functional perspective, syntactic variants of sentences have functions, such as: prominence, coherence, attitudinal, etc.

11. Practical applicability:

Research results about the syntactic variants of Vietnamese sentences could be used in compiling monographs about Vietnamese syntax and Vietnamese textbooks for Vietnamese people and foreigners.

12. Further research directions:

- Variants in Language;

- Some other topics in Vietnamese Syntax and Semantics;

- The relationship between Language, Culture and Thought.
