11.Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- By applying the fundamental concepts of classical Indian poetics, this thesis examines each of Tagore's plays, identifying the basic characteristics regarding character types, situational patterns, conflict types, language, etc., in Tagore's plays.
- Identify specific manifestations of the modernization process in Tagore's plays, and thereby assess the role of the writer in the modernization of Indian literature.
- Affirming the traditional elements preserved in Tagore's literary style, we conclude that Tagore selectively inherited the finest aspects of Indian literature in a rational way, adapting them to the new era of his homeland and the world.

- It serves as a reference for teaching and research in secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs.
- An introduction to an author (R. Tagore) and a vast literary tradition (India) that has not received adequate attention in Vietnam.
- This is a practical example demonstrating the effectiveness of Eastern aesthetic theory when applied to examining issues in Eastern literature.

- Systematizing Eastern aesthetics to form an effective set of tools for studying Eastern culture and literature, adding new results to the application of Western theories in the study of Eastern literature.

- By using the classical Indian poetics' concepts, the thesis surveys each Tagore's drama, showing the basic characters in system of figures, type of situations, type of conflictions, language ... in Tagore's drama.
- To point out the clear expressions in Tagore's drama modernization, so judge Tagore's position in Indian literature modernization.
- To prove the traditional signs which are continued in Tagore's literatural style, thus give the result: Tagore inheritances the essential classical Indian literature reasonably in new age, both of his own country and the world.

- To be the references for teaching and reserching in the schools and universities.
- To introduce a great writer (Tagore) and a huge literature (Indian) which are not taken care of in Vietnam correctly.
