11.1 Purpose and scope of the thesis
11.1.1 Purpose
The research aims to clarify the factors influencing the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province, assess the current state of rural tourism development by constructing a research framework, and explore the mechanisms by which demand and supply factors influence the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province. Based on this, it proposes management implications and recommendations to promote the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province.

The research subject of this study is rural tourism activities and the entities involved in rural tourism activities in Bac Lieu province.

- Data collection methods: Document synthesis method; Field method; Composite scoring method and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method; Social survey method; Semi-structured interview method.

The thesis has made the following contributions:
- Based on a comprehensive review of the theory and practice of rural tourism development in the world and in Vietnam, this study proposes a research framework for the factors influencing the development of rural tourism.
- The research results on factors contributing to enriching the research framework on factors influencing rural tourism development can be applied to Bac Lieu province.
- Based on the research framework of factors influencing rural tourism development, this study analyzes and evaluates the potential and current state of rural tourism development in Bac Lieu province. This is a new research direction in Vietnam.
- Therefore, the study proposes management implications for the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of rural tourism activities in Bac Lieu province.
- The research results can be used as a reference for local authorities, state tourism management agencies, tourism businesses, tourism industry workers, and local people to contribute to promoting the province's resources and boosting rural tourism development in Bac Lieu province in the future.
12. Directions for further research:
Based on the proposed research on factors influencing the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province, using the proposed research framework on influencing factors, this serves as an important basis for the author's research in building a model for the future development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province.

11.1 Objectives and research objects of the thesis
11.1.1 Objectives
The research objective of the topic is to clarify the factors affecting the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province, assess the current status of rural tourism development through building a research framework and explore the influence mechanism of demand and supply factors on the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province. On that basis, proposes management implications and recommendations to promote the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province.

The research object of the project is rural tourism activities and subjects participating in rural tourism activities in Bac Lieu province

- Data Collection Methods: Method of synthesizing documents; Field methods;      Composite score scale method and AHP hierarchical analysis method; Sociological investigation method; Semi-structured interview method.

11.3. Main results and conclusions
11.3.1. Main results
The results have built a research framework on factors affecting the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province, including: rural tourism demand (awareness of rural tourism; free time, ability to pay and health, age; income; education level and occupation); rural tourism resources; participation of local people in rural tourism activities; policies and support of local authorities in rural tourism activities; infrastructure and technical facilities; participation of travel agencies in rural tourism activities; tourism promotion and advertising; rural tourism human resources. In addition, the potential and current status of rural tourism development in Bac Lieu province are analyzed based on the research framework and some management implications are proposed and recommendations are made to improve the effectiveness of rural tourism activities in Bac Lieu province.
11.3.2. Conclusion
The thesis has made the following contributions:
- Based on the summary of theory and practice of rural tourism development in the world and Vietnam, the topic proposes a research framework for factors affecting rural tourism development.
- The research results on factors contribute to enriching the research framework on factors affecting rural tourism development for application in Bac Lieu province.
- Based on the research framework on factors affecting rural tourism development to analyze and evaluate the potential and current status of rural tourism development in Bac Lieu province. This is a new research direction in Vietnam.
- From there, the topic proposes implications for the management of rural tourism development in Bac Lieu province and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of rural tourism activities in Bac Lieu province.
- The research results can be used as a reference for local authorities, state management agencies on tourism, tourism businesses, workers in the tourism industry and local people to contribute to promoting the province's resources to promote the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province in the coming time.

Based on the proposal and research on factors affecting the development of rural tourism in Bac Lieu province based on the research framework on the proposed investing factors, this is an important basis for the author's research on implementing the model of rural tourism development in Bac Lieu province in the future.
