10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Collect and systematize primary and secondary sources of information on political parties in Vietnam during the modern period; explore new sources, especially leaflets.

- A new approach: combining theories of political science in the study of the history of political parties in Vietnam.

- Provide a definition of a political party that is appropriate to the specific historical conditions in Vietnam during the modern period.

- Recreating the process of formation of political parties in Vietnam during the modern period.

- To clarify the major features of the ideological development of political parties in Vietnam from after World War I (1914-1919) to before 1930 and from 1930 to before the August Revolution of 1945 in Vietnam.

Clarifying the political nature of each political party is key to deciphering the successes and failures; to defining the position and role of each organization in the struggle for national independence and social progress in Vietnam. From there, the thesis contributes to a more complete understanding of modern Vietnamese history from a political and ideological perspective.

This dissertation can serve as a reference for research and teaching related to modern Vietnamese history.

The research findings of this thesis can serve as a reference for Party building and the reform of the political system in Vietnam today.
