10. Summary of new results of the thesis: 

- This is the first systematic, in-depth research work on the formation and development process of Thanh Hoa city, thereby clarifying the following main contents:

- Firstly, to recreate the panoramic picture of economy, politics, culture and society in Thanh Hoa city for more than 2 centuries (from 1804 to 2010).

- Second, through the analysis of sources of documents, the thesis points out the unique characteristics in the development process of Thanh Hoa city compared to other cities in our country. Thereby, we can see the position and potential of Thanh Hoa city in historical periods.

- Third, to contribute more scientific documents on the economic, cultural and social situation of Thanh Hoa city in the past and present as a scientific basis for planning the Party and State's policies and strategies in the management and sustainable development of the city's economy, culture and society in the present and future.

11. Practical application:

- The thesis is a good reference source for researchers on history, urban studies in general and urban history in particular.

- The thesis aims to supplement some sources of documents to contribute to research and clarify the formation and development process of Thanh Hoa city from 1804 to 2010.

- Contribute more scientific documents on the economic, cultural and social situation of Thanh Hoa city in the past and present as a scientific basis for planning the Party and State's policies and strategies in the management and sustainable development of the city's economy, culture and society in the present and future. On that basis, preserve and promote traditional values, contribute to the renovation and construction of a modern Thanh Hoa city in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country. At the same time, through the research results of the Thesis, contribute to educating the tradition of loving the homeland for generations.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

This is the first in-depth systematic study about the process of forming and developing of Thanh Hoa city. It elucidates some of the following aspects:

Firstly, It reconstitutes the panorama of economic, political and sociocultural aspects in Tsinghua city over two centuries (from 1804 to 2010)

Secondly, by analyzing various documents and data, the thesis points out the special characteristics in the process of developing of Thanh Hoa city in comparison with other cities in Vietnam. By doing so, it shows the position and potential of Thanh Hoa in different periods of history.

Thirdly, this study is an additional scientific document which reveals Thanh Hoa's economy, culture and society from the old days until present time. It is the scientific ground to release guidelines and policies to manage and sustainably develop Thanh Hoa economy, society and culture in the present as well as in the future.

12. Practical applicability

- This thesis is a valuable reference source for researchers in various fields such as history, urban study or specialist in urban history.

- It complements informative document for scientific studies and elucidates the process of formation and development of Tsinghua, from 1804 to 2010.

- The paper is an additional scientific document about Thanh Hoa economic situation, culture and society from the old days to the modern time. It is the scientific grounds that help the Party and Government promote reasonable policies on the target of sustainably developing in all aspects of economic, social and cultural, in the current and coming periods.
