10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Although diplomatic relations were formally unequal, they were in fact in line with the needs and interests of medieval society.

- Chinese envoys composed poems during their diplomatic missions, which were both literary creations and records of important historical information, thus possessing both literary and historical value. The content and literary characteristics of these diplomatic poems, in addition to the typical literary features of poetry, also have their own unique characteristics. The historical value of this genre of poetry is also quite prominent.

- Because diplomatic poems possess such valuable qualities, further in-depth research is necessary. This dissertation is based on the research findings to open up further research directions for the future.

This dissertation can serve as a reference for understanding the literary and diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China during the medieval period, providing additional information for those interested in this topic.

- Compare the diplomatic relations of Chinese envoys to Vietnam and Vietnamese envoys to China.

- Even though tributary relationship portrays an inequality between two countries, it was essentially in line with the needs and interests of the communities in the Middle Ages.

- Poetry composed by Chinese envoys was both literary creations and historically important records; these works, therefore, had both literary and historical data values. The Chinese envoy poetry has its unique characteristics besides the literary value of ordinary poetry. Historical value of envoy poetry is quite prominent too.

- Because the envoy poetry had these values, it is necessary to continue to study; on the basis of the research already made, we have made some recommendations for the future research.

This thesis can be used as reference for studying, research for students, postgraduate students and readers who are interested in the Sino-Vietnamese literary and diplomatic relations in the period from the 10th^thcentury to the 18^thDANCE.
