10. Summary of new results of the thesis:

- The diplomatic relationship, although unequal in form, was in fact consistent with the needs and interests of medieval society.

- The Chinese envoys' writing of envoy poems was both a literary creation and a recording of important historical information, so it had both literary and historical value. The content and literary characteristics of envoy poems, in addition to the literary characteristics of ordinary poetry, also had their own characteristics. And the historical value of this poetry is also quite outstanding.

- Because the poems of the envoys have such values, it is necessary to continue to conduct in-depth research. The thesis is based on the research results to open up future research directions.

11. Practical application:

The thesis can be used as a reference for studying the literary relationship as well as the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and China in the medieval period, providing more information for those interested in this issue.

10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Even though tributary relationship portrays an inequality between two countries, it was essentially in line with the needs and interests of the communities in the Middle Ages.

- Poetry composed by Chinese envoys was both literary creations and historically important records; these works, therefore, had both literary and historical data values. The Chinese envoy poetry has its unique characteristics besides the literary value of ordinary poetry. Historical value of envoy poetry is quite prominent too.

- Because the envoy poetry had these values, it is necessary to continue to study; on the basis of the research already made, we have made some recommendations for the future research.

11. Practical applicability, if any:

This thesis can be used as reference for studying, research for students, postgraduate students and readers who are interested in the Sino-Vietnamese literary and diplomatic relations in the period from the 10ththcentury to the 18thcentury.

Comparing the envoy poetry of Chinese embassy to Vietnam and the envoy poetry of Vietnamese embassy to China.
