11. Summary of new results of the thesis:
This is the first thesis topic to study the career and employment transition of workers, which has been conducted in Chuong My district, a typical locality with all the characteristics of a traditional rural area with much potential but not yet developed. The process of job transition is viewed from three aspects. One is the change in the structure of job groups; Two is the change in the composition of jobs; Three is the change in the process of job implementation. The research results of the topic show many new discoveries in all three aspects mentioned above.
Firstly, in terms of structure, the current differentiation and division of labor in rural areas has been creating a diversified occupational and employment structure. In particular, the group of jobs with high potential in the locality such as handicrafts, rice cultivation, specialty tree cultivation, etc. accounts for a low proportion. In addition, new groups of jobs with higher proportions are being formed and are increasing, such as hired labor, business and service groups.
Second, in terms of composition and nature of labor relations, employment in rural areas has now fundamentally changed towards multi-component, multi-ownership, and multi-employment (one worker simultaneously undertakes many types of jobs).
Third, in terms of the process of employment, the quality of employment has changed. Based on market demands, the technical and technological content has been enhanced by workers, the level of arduousness of work has been reduced, creative labor has been liberated, and the quantity and quality of products have increased.
Fourth, the job transition process is influenced by many factors, the most obvious of which are groups of personal resources (age, gender, income, etc.), family resources (capital, land, technical facilities, human resources, etc.) and markets (technology, output, input).
12. Practical application:
Firstly, the thesis accurately describes the current situation of employment and employment transition, analyzes and explains some basic social factors that affect the employment transition of workers living and working in rural areas near urban areas. This allows policy makers and organizations to create mechanisms to influence positive social factors, to create the best conditions for leading that transition, and at the same time forecast the trend of transition of the labor and employment sector in rural areas in the coming time.
Second, in terms of pedagogical practice, the thesis can be used as a reference for students, graduate students and researchers in subjects such as sociology of work, sociology of occupation, sociology of labor, sociology of rural areas, sociology of social change, sociology of social mobility.
13. Further research: The research topic group continues to study the process of leaving the agricultural production group to join the hired labor group of rural farmers today. The second research issue is the change in income when changing occupations and jobs of rural workers today.
