The thesis, "The Journalistic Economics of Media Agencies After Merger: A Case Study of Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper," consists of three chapters:
- Chapter 1. Theoretical and practical foundations of journalistic economic activities.
- Chapter 2. The current state of economic activities in journalism at Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper.

The requirement for financial autonomy for media organizations is both a challenging task and a driving force for them to set goals and strive to attract financial resources through the economics of journalism.
The Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper is the second media agency in the country (after the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center) to merge according to the converged, multimedia media agency model. Binh Phuoc province is prioritizing investment resources and creating conditions for the province's media agency to quickly build a converged newsroom model and implement multimedia communication. However, achieving financial autonomy for the Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper is also being urgently addressed as a challenge to overcome in the current period.
How will the merged media organizations manage their media economics to ensure partial financial self-sufficiency? Which media economics methods are suitable and unsuitable, and how will they differ from those before the merger? What will be the prevailing mindset and perspective on media economics in the coming period? What conflicts need to be resolved? What advantages should be encouraged and replicated?… These are the issues addressed in this thesis.
In researching this issue, the author devoted considerable time to surveying and evaluating the current state of economic activities in journalism at Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper; simultaneously conducting numerous in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys with over 200 individuals from media agencies, state management agencies in journalism, businesses, and experts knowledgeable in journalism economics. Subsequently, applying theory and practice, the author analyzed and offered appropriate proposals and recommendations for the economic activities of the merged media agency, specifically Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper.
