This thesis provides an overview of domestic and international studies on tourism promotion and tourism service promotion. Based on this, the author systematizes theoretical and practical issues regarding service promotion, specifically the promotion of nighttime services for tourists at several tourist destinations in Vietnam; and identifies criteria for evaluating the promotion of nighttime services for tourists at these destinations in Vietnam.
Through an analysis of nighttime tourism service promotion activities by state management agencies, service providers, and tourist evaluations; based on the collection and analysis of secondary documents and data, and in-depth interviews with three groups: state management agencies, service providers, and tourists, the study found that while initial efforts to promote nighttime tourism services have been focused on, the results have not yet met expectations. This is partly due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and partly due to a lack of awareness among stakeholders in the tourism industry regarding the role of nighttime tourism service promotion activities.
In the current context, the challenges facing the tourism industry are considerable. However, with its unique advantages, Vietnam has many conditions to develop nighttime services for tourists. Therefore, this will be an opportunity for tourism development in each locality and destination if there is joint effort and active participation from relevant parties, contributing to promoting nighttime services for tourists in particular and promoting Vietnamese tourism in general.
