Research purpose:The thesis focuses on clarifying the Vietnam - Korea strategic partnership in the economic field in the period 2009 - 2020.
Research subjects:The thesis focuses on studying the economic relations between Vietnam and Korea after the two countries upgraded their diplomatic relations in 2009.
Research perspective:Economy has always been considered a pillar in bilateral relations, especially in the Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership. Therefore, research to forecast the prospects of the strategic partnership is also to study the bilateral economic relations between the two countries. The author will study the Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership focusing on the economic field to forecast the prospects of the development of the strategic partnership.
Research method:The thesis studies the relationship between two countries in the economic field, so it mainly uses international relations research methods. To achieve research effectiveness, the thesis applies the following specific research methods:
- Policy analysis method: The author uses this method to analyze the content and goals of Vietnam's foreign policy.
- Benefit analysis method: Used by the author to evaluate the benefits of Vietnam and Korea in the process of economic cooperation.
- Historical and chronological method: Used by the author to arrange information, learn about the historical context of international, regional and domestic Vietnam and Korea when the two countries established bilateral relations.
- Comparative and contrastive method: The author uses the comparative and contrastive method to point out the similarities between Vietnam and Korea; compare the concepts of strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea and in the world; characteristics of the strategic partnership between Korea and some other partners; changes in trade and investment relations between Vietnam and Korea through the stages; differences between the Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership relationship with some other strategic partnerships to draw out the characteristics of this relationship.
