11. Summarize thenew resultsof the thesis:
This is the first thesis in Vietnam to study social dependence in group learning among students, and the research has yielded the following new results:
- Confirm the existence of social dependence in student study groups at a moderate level.
- ManifestationsStudents' social dependence when studying in groups includes: "Negligence, dependence," "Passivity, lack of enthusiasm in speaking up," and "Lack of active contribution."
- There are differences in the level of social dependence among students based on several factors such as enrollment type, course, role in the group, and group size. Specifically: Students who are high school graduates have a higher level of social dependence than students who have served in the military; group leaders have a lower level of social dependence than group members; larger groups have a higher level of social dependence among group members; third-year students have a lower level of social dependence than second-year and final-year students..
- The degree of social dependence in group learning among students is directly or indirectly influenced by many subjective and objective factors.
- Among the factors that can predict the level of social dependence in group learning among students, there are factors that can increase social dependence and factors that can decrease it.
- Social reliance in group learning among students can have certain consequences, such as negatively impacting the effectiveness of group task completion and reducing the efforts of other members in the learning group.
- When the group size increases from 3 students to 19 students, nThe more clearly instructors understand students' task performance within learning groups, the less socially dependent the students will become.KWhen given tasks that are more challenging than their abilities, academically strong students will become less reliant on group work.
- CThe more aware students become of the social dependence exhibited by other group members, the more likely they are to increase their efforts to compensate for their groupmates. In response to this compensatory response, the socially dependent member tends to further reduce their efforts and reliance, leading to even lower overall group performance.
12. Applicability of the thesis:The research findings of this thesis can provide a basis for studying and organizing effective group-based teaching and learning processes, especially in People's Public Security schools in particular and schools belonging to the armed forces in general.
13. Future research directions:
Expand the scope of research on social dependence in group learning at universities nationwide.

11. Summary ofthe new findingsof the thesis:
This is the first doctoral thesis examining students' social loafing in team-based learning in Vietnam. There are some new findings as follows:
- This study confirms the existence ofsocial loafing in learning teams of students, and the social loafing might be considered as moderate in magnitude. Manifestations of Cadets' social loafing in team learning contextscomposed ofthree aspects: “slacking off, dependent"; passive, unwilling to comment”; “do notnutritiousimportant"
ButThere were significant differences in levels of students' social loafing in terms of student's year, group size, type of candidate for cadet enrolment, role in a learning team: students who graduated from high school have a higher degree of social loafing than students who have participated in military service; Team leadersare less sinus todefile in social loafingthan members; If the group size is larger, members are more prone to social loafing; Juniors engagement are less likely todefilein social loafing than sophomores and seniors.
ButStudents'social loafing were directly and indirectly influenced by many subjective and objective factors.Among the predictors of students' ssocial loafing, there were not only factors that could increase the likelihood of social loafingbut evenfactors that were likely to reduce it.
- Certain consequences of students' social loafing were identified, such as negative impact on team performance as well as effort reduction of other team members.
- As group size increased from 3 to 19 students, if students perceive that their tutor was well aware of their task performance, they would beless strokedefilein social loafing; The more difficult the assigned tasks which students received, the less likely those students with better academic ability would engage in social loafing.
ButThe more students perceive their teammates' social loafing, the more likely they will be to increase their efforts to compensate for their teammates. Compensatory actions of team members make social loafers tend to continue social loafing that leads to an increasingly decrease in the overall team performance.
12.Practical applicability:
The present research results can be used effectively for planning and management of teaching and learning process in the universities under theMinistry of Public Securityin particular and the uuniversitiesin armed forces in general.
13. Further research directions:Moving studies on social loafing in team-based learning settings should be conducted among a wide variety of universities in the whole country.
